Install the beta
Pin & Fix is waiting for review in the Chrome Web Store. Until then you can add it to Chrome by hand. It takes about two minutes, and it is the same extension that will be in the store.
Add it to Chrome
- Unzip pinandfix.zip. Keep the folder somewhere it can stay (for example in Documents) — Chrome loads the extension from it.
- Open chrome://extensions (type it in the address bar).
- Turn on Developer mode (top right).
- Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped pinandfix folder.
- Click the puzzle icon next to the address bar and pin Pin & Fix. Click it to open the side panel.
Good to know
- Updates are manual in the beta: download the new zip, replace the folder’s contents, then press ↻ on the extension in chrome://extensions. Your notes are in your Google Sheet, so nothing is lost.
- Chrome may remind you that developer-mode extensions are on. That is expected for a hand-installed extension.
- When Pin & Fix is in the Chrome Web Store, remove the hand-installed copy and add it from the store — your notes stay where they are.
