Pin & Fix

Point at it. Say what’s wrong. Get it fixed.

Pin & Fix is a free Chrome side panel for notes on any web page. Click the thing that’s off, write what should change, and hand the list to your developer — or to an AI. The notes live in your own Google Sheet.

Free · No account · No Pin & Fix server · Only the files it creates in your Drive

How it works

No screenshots pasted into email, no “the button near the top, the blue one”. The note sits on the element it is about.

1

Open the side panel, press Pin (or ⌥⇧P) and click a button, a heading, a price — or drag over a few words. Say what’s wrong or type the new text. A cropped screenshot is saved with the note.

2

Talk it through

Share with your client, your developer or your team; Google sends the invitation. Everyone sees the notes as numbered circles on the page, replies in a thread and answers questions.

3

Fix and approve

A person or an AI fixes the site and marks the note fixed. Whoever wrote the note checks the live page: Looks good, or Not yet with a reason.

Your data stays in your Google Drive

Pin & Fix has no server and no account system. The extension talks to Google, and to nobody else.

  • Notes are rows in a Google Sheet that Pin & Fix creates in your Drive, one per website. Screenshots are kept in the same sheet. It’s an ordinary spreadsheet with a README tab: you can open it, filter it, export it.
  • One narrow Google permission: drive.file. Pin & Fix can open only the files it created or that you picked. It cannot see the rest of your Drive, your email or your contacts.
  • Nothing reaches us. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. We could not read your notes even if we wanted to.
  • Sharing is plain Google Drive sharing. Remove someone from the sheet in Drive and they lose access.
  • Leave any time. Uninstall the extension and the sheet stays yours.

Works with AI

Built for sites made with AI tools. Notes go to the AI with the element, its text and the page — enough to find it in the code.

Claude, Cursor and VS Code, through MCP

A small MCP server runs on your computer with your own Google sign-in, on the same sheet. Your AI lists the open notes, reads each thread, asks the author when something is unclear, and marks notes fixed after the change is live.

Any chat, with Copy for AI

Copy for AI puts every note that’s ready into one prompt. Paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, v0 or Bolt. Copy the answer, press ⌘V in the panel, and Apply marks each note fixed, posts the AI’s question, or puts it back.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes, with no plans and no limits. There is no Pin & Fix server to pay for: your notes live in your Google Drive. A way to donate may come later.

What can Pin & Fix see?

Your Google name and email (to sign your notes), the sheets it created or that you picked, and what you pin: the page address, the element, its text and a cropped screenshot. It asks for access to a website only when you pin there. All of it goes to your Google Drive, nothing to us. Details in the privacy policy.

Who can see my notes?

Only people who have access to the sheet: you and the people you share it with. With view-only access they can read but not add notes. You manage this in Google Drive like any other file.

Do I need to change my website?

No. Nothing goes into your site’s code. Pin & Fix works on pages you open in Chrome, whatever they were built with.

What does the person I invite need?

Chrome on a computer, a Google account and the extension. The invitation link opens Pin & Fix on the right sheet.

Does it work with Google Workspace accounts?

Yes, if your organisation lets third-party apps use Google Drive. Some admins allow only approved apps; then Pin & Fix shows Google’s message, and your admin can allow it in the Admin console.

Which languages?

The panel speaks English and Polish, following your Chrome language.
